Strengthening CVTA’s National Voice and Reporting Audit Activities

ree

Dear CVTA Members,

As you know, CVTA has retained a national media firm to strengthen our communications and increase the visibility of CVTA as the nation’s leading voice for professional truck driver training. (Read more here).

This partnership will help us highlight why CVTA membership matters—especially as the national conversation intensifies around Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) enforcement and the importance of quality, compliant CDL instruction.

We want to remind all members that if you are contacted by the media, we ask you to please consider reaching out to CVTA before responding. Our communications team and media partners can provide talking points, data, and context to ensure consistent messaging that reinforces our shared mission. Working together, we can ensure that every media interaction reflects the professionalism and leadership of our association and its members.

Separately, as FMCSA moves closer to active enforcement of the Training Provider Registry (TPR), we anticipate that CVTA member schools—because of their size, visibility, and longstanding leadership in the training community—may be included among those audited. This is not a cause for concern; in fact, CVTA schools are expected to exemplify compliance and best practices.

We ask our members to immediately notify the CVTA office in the event of an audit or review. This information is critical to our continued advocacy efforts with the USDOT and FMCSA.

Thank you for your continued leadership in the training community and commitment to quality. Together, we are advancing both the reputation of our members and the safety and integrity of the entire trucking profession.
