At the Rhode Island Trucking Association 94th Annual Dinner, Samantha Greenberg, CVTA Vice Chair and owner of New England Tractor Trailer Training School (NETTTS), emphasized the industry’s growing challenge with CDL mills and non-compliant training programs that threaten public safety and undermine the reputation of professional drivers.

Greenberg underscored the importance of enforcing Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) as it was originally designed—focused on competency, safety, and true job readiness rather than shortcuts. Greenberg reaffirmed NETTTS’ commitment to producing safe, professional drivers and called for industry-wide collaboration to protect standards and the future of trucking.
