The Commercial Vehicle Training Association is proud to recognize nine veteran semifinalists who attended CVTA member schools or are now employed by CVTA carrier members.

Now in its tenth year, this national program—led by Kenworth, Hiring Our Heroes, and Fastport—celebrates the success of military veterans transitioning into careers in trucking. This year’s class reflects not only the diverse backgrounds of U.S. service members but also the essential role of high-quality truck driver training programs in preparing them for the road ahead.

CVTA schools and carriers should be proud of the key role that they play in this noteworthy accomplishment.

These semi-finalists embody the adaptability of our nation’s veterans— those individuals who have bravely served their country and then made the courageous decision to pursue a new mission behind the wheel.

Their stories are a powerful reminder that trucking offers more than just a job—it provides a pathway to different opportunities, stability, and growth. For those seeking a fresh start or a meaningful second career, commercial driving can be a life-changing opportunity. CVTA applauds these veterans and encourages others to explore the rewarding future that professional driving can offer.
