CVTA Executive Director Andrew Poliakoff recently addressed the CDL Coordinator community during an event hosted by the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA), highlighting the commercial driver training industry’s continued focus on highway safety, enforcement, and accountability.
The session focused on the importance of strong oversight and consistent enforcement of Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) standards, as well as on the role of professional training providers in preparing safe, qualified commercial drivers. CVTA's Exec. Director emphasized the value of continued collaboration between training providers, state driver licensing agencies (SDLAs), non-SDLA state agencies and federal regulators as Training Provider Registry (TPR) enforcement efforts continue to expand nationwide.
CVTA appreciates the opportunity to engage directly with leaders in the CDL Coordinator space and share the perspective of member schools committed to maintaining high training standards and advancing professionalism throughout the trucking industry.
