David Parker is the Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of Covenant Logistics Group, a company he established in 1986 after beginning his career in the trucking industry at just 17 years old. Raised in a trucking family, Parker developed an early, practical understanding of the industry that would shape his leadership over the next four decades. Under his direction, Covenant has grown from a startup of 25 trucks and 50 trailers into a nationwide logistics enterprise generating over $1 billion in annual revenue, supported by thousands of trucks, trailers, and millions of square feet of warehousing capacity across the United States.

Parker has served as President of Covenant Transportation Group since its founding and has held the roles of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer since 1994. Throughout his career, he has remained focused on building a durable business model centered on operational discipline, long-term growth, and service reliability. His leadership reflects a deep familiarity with the trucking industry, informed by hands-on experience from an early age and sustained engagement across evolving market conditions.
