CVTA welcomes nationally recognized trucking attorney Doug Marcello as a featured speaker at the 2026 CVTA Fall Conference.
Having served as trial counsel in 35 states, Doug understands the legal challenges confronting the trucking industry and the steps organizations can take to protect their people, operations, and reputations. His work spans all aspects of trucking law, giving him a firsthand view of how decisions made in the classroom, on the road, and throughout an organization can carry significant legal consequences.
Doug’s connection to trucking extends well beyond the courtroom. A commercial driver’s license holder and longtime advocate for the industry, he has held leadership roles with organizations including the American Trucking Associations and the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association. He also regularly contributes to industry publications and discussions on the legal, safety, and policy issues shaping transportation.
At the conference, Doug will translate his extensive courtroom experience into practical guidance for CDL schools and other industry stakeholders. Attendees will gain a clearer understanding of emerging legal risks, the importance of strong safety and documentation practices, and how training providers can better prepare their organizations for an increasingly complex operating environment.
The 2026 CVTA Fall Conference brings together the commercial driver training community for three days of education, collaboration, and networking with the leaders shaping the future of transportation.
Connect with school owners, carrier executives, regulators, policymakers, attorneys, and industry innovators while gaining practical strategies and fresh perspectives from nationally recognized experts.
