About the event

CVTA members will convene in Washington, D.C., on March 25–26, 2026, to meet with lawmakers and share the priorities of the commercial driver training community.
Each year, CVTA brings members to Capitol Hill to tell the story of high-quality, safety-focused training and to highlight what schools and carriers are seeing on the ground, from workforce needs and funding barriers to compliance challenges and regulatory gaps. These meetings help ensure policymakers understand how federal decisions impact the commercial vehicle training pipeline that supports a safe and reliable trucking workforce.
Hill Day participants will have the opportunity to advance policies that strengthen training outcomes and improve access to key resources, including grant programs that are accessible and workable for training schools, and regulations that strengthen compliance and safety without imposing unnecessary administrative barriers.
