Michael H. Darling

Michael Darling Michael H. Darling (Michael) is the Vice President of Operations for one of the founding members of CVTA, Western Truck School in California. Michael is a Past Chairman for the Commercial Vehicle Training Association, sits on the CVTA Executive Committee and currently chairs the CVTA-Marketing Committee.

Michael has been involved in the school business since 1987 when he left a broadcasting career beginning in 1970 that encompassed several years in Armed Forces Radio as well as a successful on-air personality and syndicated programming in several areas of the U.S. He then managed National Broadcasting Schools in Washington, Oregon, California and Nevada. Michael has been actively involved with legislation and rule making on educational matters with California since his involvement with the original Council for Private Postsecondary Education in 1990, involving compliance & enforcement functions, as well as program, policy, and regulation development.

Michael is a native of Idaho and currently resides in Sacramento California. He is married with 4 children and 6 grandchildren.
