Vertial Alliance Group launches Web-based safety training
By Aaron Huff

Vertical Alliance Group Inc., an online publisher of trucking recruiting sites like BubbaJunk.com and FullFleet.com, launched
www.VAGST.com, a new Web-based safety training program for commercial truck drivers.

VAG Safety Training provides ongoing Web-based training that is customizable, affordable and easily accessible by drivers since most drivers have their own PCs, says Jay Wommack, founder, president and CEO of Vertical Alliance Group. The company outsources the production of its training modules to industry safety experts that specialize in safety training for commercial drivers, he says.

VAGST.com currently offers programs for all commercial drivers, including school bus drivers. Offering comprehensive training programs like those available through VAGST.com allows trucking companies to keep drivers informed of the most recent safety issues affecting them on the job, anytime, anywhere, Wommack says.

"This flexibility is key for the trucking industry, as in-person training programs or seminars can be difficult to coordinate due to the mobility of drivers. VAGST.com provides high-quality training, on-the-go," Wommack says.

The online training videos and presentations cover issues that apply to virtually any driver, such as adverse weather, distracted driver, loading and unloading, and tailgating. In addition to these broad topics, safety training can be customized to meet the specific needs of any trucking company. VAGST.com will either deploy video modules provided by trucking companies at no additional cost, or Vertical Alliance Group can create custom videos and presentations for an individual company for a service charge based on location and complexity.

Additionally, Vertical Alliance Group will continue to add new training modules each month to keep drivers updated of the most current safety issues.
